MANUFACTURER OF AGRICULTURAL TRACTORS
CASE STUDY
THE PROBLEM:
In 2007 an agricultural tractor manufacturer faced the crisis of a large oil
leak. Thousands of gallons of coolant would have been wasted due to the shut down of their system to repair the leak. The manufacturer could not afford to shut down the machines or their plant — and needed a solution fast!
.
THE HARRIGAN SOLUTION:
Understanding the manufacturer's time crunch, budget and overall process problem, Harrigan Solutions immediately came to the rescue by recommending a centrifuge to mitigate the machine problem.
RESULTS:
Within 48 hours Harrigan Solutions saved the manufacturer from shutting down their five-cell machining center and allowed this bottleneck operation to continue functioning. This enabled the trator assembly plant to continue production until the maintenance team was allowed to fix the problem. The client saved over six figures in revenue shortfall by fixing the leak without a shutdown.
