HOW CAN YOUR METALWORKING AND PARTS WASHING OPERATIONS BENEFIT FROM CENTRIFUGE EQUIPMENT?

Centrifuges with high speeds of rotation are sometimes the most efficient means of removing tramp oil and small fines from metalworking coolants, cutting oils and wash water.  Unlike pressure, gravity, vacuum and bag filters they require no consumable media and are effective at removing both fines and tramp oil (from coolant or wash waters) and water (from cutting oil). Separation is achieved by subjecting dirty fluids to a spinning disc stack that acts to push dirt and the heavier fluid to the outside of the containment bowl. Lighter fluid (oil) remains in the center. 

“Automatic” units continuously push contaminates and clean fluid from the bowl in separate discharge hoses. Your operation gets clean fluid back with separate collection of dirt and contaminate fluid (typically tramp oil or water). “Manual” units require manual dirt removal.

Low speed centrifuges are used primarily for separating solid from liquid. They are a better choice than high-speed units where the dirt load is significant. They work on the same principal as high speed units and also are available either as manual or automatic.

Simply put, centrifuges remove liquid and solid contaminate. Their benefit can be very significant when considering the high cost contaminates have in your fluid operations.
